The TV only shows the game. Everyone answers on their own phone, and the person who started the game stays in control.
The 30-second version
Get this address up on the TV screen (pick your TV below for how):
omygato.com/tv
Type the 4-letter room code from the leader's phone (it is on their screen under Show on TV).
Press Show it, then Full screen.
The TV does not need to be on the same Wi-Fi as the phones. Phones can even be on cell data.
Don't use a phone someone is playing on to show the TV. Use the TV's own browser, a laptop, a tablet, or a spare phone.
If you mirror or cast from a laptop or tablet, that device must be on the TV's Wi-Fi. Guest Wi-Fi at bars often blocks it; the TV's own browser or an HDMI cable avoids that.
What do you have?
Something not working?
"That room code is not open": check the 4 letters on the leader's phone. Rooms close after 6 hours with nobody in them.
The TV went dark or to a screen saver: that's the TV or the device you're mirroring from going to sleep. Turn off its auto-lock or screen saver while you play. The game keeps running; reload the page and it picks up where it is.
It's laggy: mirroring a laptop or tablet over Wi-Fi can stutter. The TV's own browser, or a laptop on an HDMI cable, is smoothest.
The text is too small or too big: use Full screen, and on a TV browser use its zoom setting. On a laptop, press Ctrl and + or - (Cmd on a Mac).
Can't type the address with the remote? Many TV browsers have a voice search button, or you can pair a USB keyboard. Or use a laptop and HDMI.
